Highway 21, from Kincardine to Port Elgin, re-opens Tuesday afternoon
Highway 21, from Kincardine to Port Elgin, was re-opened Tuesday afternoon after being closed early Tuesday morning, due to blowing and drifting snow.

The South Bruce OPP closed the road at 6:30 a.m., March 17, due to zero visibility. By 2:30 p.m., the road had been re-opened.

The heavy snow and high wind caused the closure of offices and businesses, including the Kincardine municipal administration centre, as well as the cancellation of such programs as the Kincardine March Break Camp.

The Davidson Centre in Kincardine remained open, including the pool and drop-in programs. The public skate at the Tiverton Sports Arena was cancelled.

The cold and snow are expected to remain over the next couple of days, with rain and warmer temperatures on the weekend.
