Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary fund-raiser welcomes new location at Canadian Tire store
The South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary's Art/Easel Program fund-raiser welcomes a new location at the Kincardine Canadian Tire store. The print there is entitled, "Cash - the Lonely Walk."
This is a typical Johnny Cash picture, with him dressed in a long, black coat and carrying his guitar case, walking a lonely road. This depicts the essence of the emotional journey that Johnny Cash undertook during his career, ending with the Gold Records.
Meanwhile, the first picture at Sobeys Kincardine is entitled, "Horses," by Nova Scotian artist Maud Lewis. This lovely outdoor scene shows a couple of horses being brought back to the barn by a dog. Lewis used bright colours in her paintings and often included flowers and animals.
The second print on display at Sobeys, is entitled, “Darryl Sittler - 50th Anniversary" which depicts the scene and information from the night of Feb. 7, 1976, when Sittler scored a 10-point night.
The print at the Kincardine Hospital is entitled, “Three Cardinals," by Robbie Craig.
The print at Rona Kincardine is entitled, “Three White Cats," by Maud Lewis.
The print at Boston Pizza in Kincardine is entitled, “Toronto Maple Leafs First/Last Game."
The starting bid for each print is $215, and they are on display until Thursday, April 9.
