​About 50 people enjoy wieners and beans meal at Knox Church in Kincardine

A small crowd of about 50 people enjoyed the wieners and beans lunch, Friday afternoon, at Knox Presbyterian Church, Kincardine.

The activity room was decorated in a bright, colourful spring theme, and everyone was served the main course, as well as savoury muffins, and for dessert, cake and ice cream and treats.

Also at the event, Rev. Dan West of Knox Kincardine presented a $1,000 donation to the Women's House Serving Bruce and Grey.

Accepting was Danielle Bois, community relations and fund development co-ordinator, who thanked the church for its generosity. She said the funds will be used for programming and outreach counselling. In particular, it will go toward food and supplies for the camps offered for girls, aged nine to 12.
