(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – A 57-year-old Kincardine man has been charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle Over-80 Milligrams, following a traffic stop Jan. 31.
Shortly before 5 p.m., Huron County OPP officers received a call concerning a vehicle that was being driven in an erratic manner on Amberley Road. Officers were nearby and within a few minutes, they spotted the suspect vehicle, a Dodge Ram pick-up truck, travelling westbound on Amberley Road. A traffic stop was initiated and the vehicle was subsequently stopped just west of Bluevale on Amberley Road.
Upon stopping the truck, the officers noted the driver had been drinking alcohol and was displaying several signs that his ability to drive was impaired by alcohol. As a result, the driver was placed under arrest for Impaired Driving. He was then transported to the Huron OPP detachment where he provided two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician. Both samples registered over the legal limit.
As a result, 57-year-old Dean NETZKE of Kincardine has been charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle – Over-80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich, March 7. He was served with a 90-day automatic driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
