Tiverton woman wins free Good Food Box
At the Kincardine Health and Wellness Show held April 11 at the Davidson Centre, Wendy Cox, one of the co-ordinators of the Kincardine Area Good Food Box, invited attendees to lift, and guess the weight of, a replica Good Food Box of produce. The prize was a free box of produce on delivery day, April 23.

Debbie Catto of Tiverton was one of the winners, picking up her prize box at the satellite depot at Knox Presbyterian Church in Tiverton. Her guess was actually one pound over, while the second winner, Sergio, guessed one pound under. When contacted, Sergio requested that his prize be passed on to someone in need. This was not difficult to do since the Good Food Box program supports more than 70 local residents with free produce each month. Thank you, Sergio!

Sometimes, Good Food Box customers forget to bring their own shopping bags, with the result being that the Kincardine distribution depot at Knox Presbyterian Church in Kincardine is currently clean out of shopping bags! If any reader has bags to spare, please bring them to Knox any weekday morning between 9 a.m. and Noon. Thank you! Or bring your bags May 28 and check out how much produce you could be buying for $25!
