IMPAIRED DRIVER FACING DAY IN COURT
(WALKERTON, ON) – Feb. 8, at 9:20 a.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Durham Street West in Walkerton, stopped a black Ford Edge.
The driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. Seventy-six-year-old Charles REIDL of Brockton was charged with impaired driving and operate over-80 milligrams. He is scheduled to appear in court March 9, to answer to the charges.
THREE-DAY SUSPENSION FOR DRIVER AVOIDING RIDE CHECK
(GREENOCK TWP, ON) – Feb. 3, at 3:17 p.m., members of the South Bruce OPP were conducting a RIDE check on Sideroad 30 in Greenock Township when they noticed a pick-up truck avoid the checkpoint.
After getting the truck stopped, officers determined that the driver had been drinking alcohol. The male driver was served a three-day licence suspension following a warn range test result.
POLICE INVESTIGATING THEFT FROM PHARMACY
(WALKERTON, ON) – Feb. 3, at 11:26 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a theft from Brown’s Guardian Pharmacy located along Durham Street East in Walkerton.
Between 11-11:30 a.m. Feb. 3, staff noticed a woman take a small basket of merchandise from the store. The suspect is described as approximately five feet tall with dark hair that was in a hair clip at the time. The value of the stolen product is estimated to be more than $500.
