Registration open for third annual Clean Energy Frontier Conference this fall
The Nuclear Innovation Institute (NII) invites industry professionals, community leaders, educators and partners to the third annual
Clean Energy Frontier Conference this fall.
The two-day event, built on the theme,,"It starts here," explores the topics shaping Canada’s clean energy landscape — both within the Bruce, Grey and Huron region and far beyond.
Hosted at the Unifor Family Education Centre in Port Elgin, the event kicks off with interactive, engaging workshops, Thursday, Oct. 8, an evening reception featuring the Clean Energy Frontier Awards, and then continues for a full day of insightful sessions, Friday, Oct. 9.
“The Clean Energy Frontier Conference is where ideas turn into action — and where our collective impact begins,” said James Scongack, NII board chairman. “It starts here, in a region driving progress for Ontario and beyond — and I encourage you to be part of this momentum.”
Highlights include:
- Keynote addresses by Bruce Power president and chief executive officer (CEO) Eric Chassard and science journalist, author and television host Dan Riskin
- Sessions on cross-Canada partnerships, new nuclear, sector transformation projects and more
- Hands-on workshops built for collaboration and problem-solving on issues shaping the Clean Energy Frontier region of Bruce, Grey and Huron counties
- More connection time than ever, with opportunities throughout the conference and evening reception to network with participants from a wide range of sectors
“Last year’s conference welcomed more than 150 nuclear industry professionals, elected officials, community leaders, academic and service partners, vendors and entrepreneurs,” said Jessica Linthorne, NII president and CEO. "This year, we look forward to cross-sector conversations on the ideas and opportunities that are driving communities and industry forward, both those in our region and beyond.”
With Bruce Power as this year’s title sponsor, founding sponsors include BWXT, Cameco, Candu Energy, E.S. Fox, Kinectrics, Power Workers’ Union and the Town of Saugeen Shores.
Thank you to Teeswater Concrete, sponsor of the newly-introduced evening reception, as well as the event’s growing list of sponsors:
