Long-time Huron Lakeshore Friendship Club member donates quilt for fund-raiser
The Huron Lakeshore Friendship Club extends its heartfelt thank you and meaningful gratitude to a special member of the club, Vera Roth.
She joined the club in 1996 and serves as an important role model, continuing to inspire everyone as an active life-time member. She has outdone her achievements for this club and for the community as well.
Vera has some interesting passions in her life which tend to keep her very busy. Firstly, she enjoys watching her grandson play for the NHL Buffalo Sabres in a series against the Montreal Canadiens in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
She faithfully attends Monday Night Cornhole board games at the Point Clark Community Centre and is one of the top players. She also attends Crafts, Jam Nights, and Bowling on Fridays.
Another passion of Vera’s is quilting which she has done for years with the club quilting group and on her own at home. She has created many beautiful quilts which she has shared with family and friends and now has done the honour of sharing one with the Huron Lakeshore Friendship Club to use as a fund-raiser. The quilt would have a value of $850-$1,000.
Vera, the club is most grateful to have you as a life-time member and appreciates your most generous donation of this beautiful quilt. Thank you for just being who you are. You make us smile and we all love you!
