KDSS shop class helps create accessible planters for Rosewood RVilla in Ripley

Residents of Rosewood RVilla Retirement Living in Ripley send a thank you to shop teacher Greg Shipp and his class at Kincardine District Senior School (KDSS) for their incredible hard work, creativity, and kindness in helping create accessible planters for the decks at the retirement home.

"When we reached out to see if the students would be willing to help bring this idea to life, they went above and beyond," says general manager Cathy Pennington. "The skill, craftsmanship, teamwork, and care these students demonstrated throughout this project, have truly been amazing to see.

"We are beyond excited with the finished planters and cannot wait to fill them with beautiful flowers, herbs, and vegetables for our residents to enjoy all season long. Projects like this remind us how powerful community connections can be and how much talent and heart our local youth have to offer.

"Thank you, again, to Mr. Shipp and his class for sharing their time, talents, and generosity with us — your work will bring so much joy to the residents."
