About 500 athletes compete at Kincardine elementary school track and field meet

It was sunny with a cool breeze, Monday (June 1), perfect weather for a track and field meet as about 500 athletes from Huron Heights Public School, Kincardine District Senior School, and Ecole Elgin Market Public School, competed in the Grades 5-8 public school meet, at the Davidson Centre track in Kincardine.

The top two competitors from each school will advance to the Bluewater (BESC) West meet, slated for June 15, also in Kincardine. Athletes competed in long jump, high jump, triple jump, ball throw, shot put, and running races.

The public school track meet for Grades 3-4 is set for Monday, June 8.
