Class of 2026 celebrates Grade 8 graduation at St. Anthony's School

Class of 2026 celebrates Grade 8 graduation at St. Anthony's School

Almost 40 Grade 8 graduates of St. Anthony’s School in Kincardine, celebrated with a prayer service, graduation ceremony and presentation of awards, followed by a reception and dance at the school, Tuesday night.

During the ceremony, principal
Jocelyn Auger addressed the graduates and their families, and the valedictorian address was given by Everlie Waite and Mila Henhoeffer.

The Grade 8 certificates were given out, and the following awards were presented:

  • Knights of Columbus Athlete of the Year awards – Isla Vinandy and Ayden Shah

  • Catholic Women's League award for Christian Living – Allie Dalcourt and Ayden Shah

  • Canadian Tire Canadian Studies award – Elle Williams

  • Bruce Power Science and Technology award – Keenan Alexander

  • Rotary Club General Proficiency award – Ayden Shah and Elle Williams

  • Kincardine Lions Club Proficiency in Music award – Madeline Hunter

  • Kincardine Lions Club Proficiency in Math award – Hendrik McDougall

  • Engineering Inspiration award, presented by the Kinetic Knights (FRC Team 781) – Zoey Taylor

  • Catholic School Community award – Claire Ferguson

  • Pastor's award – Mila Henhoeffer

  • Prix d'excellence en Francais – Isobel Quinn

  • Arts award – Madeline Hunter

  • Science award – Lily Semmens

  • Most Improved in Math award – Dylan Kraft

  • Most Improved in Music award – Elle Williams

  • Outstanding Effort – Isobel Quinn

  • School Spirit – Grayson Green

  • French as a Second Language award – Sophie Domzalski

  • Principal's Language Arts award – Everlie Waite and Elle Williams

  • Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board Academic Excellence and Catholic Values award – Mila Henhoeffer

  • Bruce County Beef Farmers Agricultural award – Isla Bell Palmer

  • Vine Eyecare Advocate award – Agape Chimvinga

  • The Change Maker: Social Justice award - Isobel Quinn

  • Valedictorian award – Everlie Waite and Mila Henhoeffer
