(BROCKTON, ON) - A search warrant, executed in the Municipality of Brockton, resulted in the seizure of two firearms, and two individuals have been charged.
An investigation, initiated by members of the South Bruce OPP Major Crimes Unit and Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU), led investigators to an address in Brockton. Officers from the Grey-Bruce OPP CSCU and West Region OPP Emergency Response Team and West Region Canine United assisted with the investigation.
Thursday, June 25, a search warrant was executed at an address on Bruce County Road 15 in Brockton and resulted in the seizure of two firearms along with five imitation firearms. A quantity of ammunition was also seized at the time.
Jason CONNELLY, 43, of Brockton, has been charged with:
Careless Storage of a Firearm - two counts
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm - two counts
Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm - two counts
Failure to comply with release order - two counts
The accused was arrested, held for a bail hearing, and later remanded into custody with a court date scheduled for July 22, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton.
Bailey BISSONNETTE, 25, of Brockton, has been charged with:
Careless Storage of a Firearm - two counts
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm- two counts
Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm - two counts
The accused was arrested and later released with a court date of Aug. 5, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton.
