HuronTel has donated $100,000 to the BUILDKD-plus Campaign in support of the fund-raising to enhance learning, athletics, arts, technology, and skilled trades spaces in the new Kincardine District Senior School.
A local provider of Internet, television, and phone services, HuronTel has made this significant contribution as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting the communities it serves.
"On behalf of HuronTel and our membership, we are proud to support this important investment in the community's future educational needs, benefiting generations to come," stated the board of directors in a news release issued Tuesday.
This donation represents another major step forward in the campaign to raise $4.5-million for enhancements that go beyond the base school build. These include improved technology and skilled trades learning environments, a state-of-the-art track and field complex, modern arts and performance spaces, and flexible learning environments.
“This generous donation to the BUILDKD-plus Campaign brings us one step closer to making the dreams of our students and community come to life,” said KDSS principal Don Burns, campaign chairman. “HuronTel's support shows the company's deep connection to our community and its dedication to our future.
"The campaign committee continues to invite individuals, families, businesses, service clubs, and community partners to be part of this once-in-a-generation opportunity to invest in local students and the future of the community."
