The countdown is officially on for Lucknow Reunion 2028, and organizers are excited to unveil the winning logo and slogan that will represent the community's homecoming celebration.
After receiving a number of creative submissions, the winning slogan, "Locally Grown and Headed Home," submitted by Kenzie Simpson, was selected for its powerful reflection of Lucknow's rich agricultural roots and the strong connection many former residents continue to have with the community. The slogan captures the spirit of coming home to reconnect with friends, family, and hometown traditions.
The newly-unveiled reunion logo, submitted by Taylor Simpson, incorporates the community's history, featuring the years 1858-2028, recognizing Lucknow's 170th anniversary and celebrating generations of residents who have helped shape the village's story.
Lucknow Reunion 2028 will take place June 30 to July 3, 2028, bringing together residents, former residents, families, and visitors for four days of celebration, entertainment, and community pride.
To help build excitement and support reunion activities, organizers have announced two major fund-raising initiatives: Catch the Ace, and the Kick-Off Elimination Dance.
CATCH THE ACE
In partnership with the Lucknow Legion, the reunion committee has launched a Catch the Ace progressive lottery. Tickets went on sale June 27, with the first draw taking place July 10 at 8 p.m. at the Lucknow Legion.
Tickets are available on-line at catchtheacelucknow.com and at several local outlets, with proceeds helping fund reunion activities and events.
KICK-OFF ELIMINATION DANCE
Community members are also invited to the official Lucknow Reunion 2028 Kick-Off Elimination Draw and Dance Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Lucknow and District Sports Complex.
The evening will feature live entertainment by the 12th Line Band and an exciting elimination draw. The event runs from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., with tickets available for $50 each. Attendees will have the chance to win a share of $6,000 in prizes throughout the evening, including a grand prize of $1,500.
Organizers encourage residents to mark their calendars, support the fund-raising events, and stay tuned for additional announcements as planning continues. With volunteers already hard at work, the reunion promises to be a memorable celebration of Lucknow's past, present, and future.
