Joseph "Brent" Parks of Kincardine died peacefully, June 5, 2026, at Trillium Court Seniors' Community, Kincardine, ins his 71st year.
Born April 28, 1955, in Clinton, he was the son of Mary and Allan Parks.
Brent will be deeply missed by his daughter, Carolyn Parks and her husband, John Fischer; and was a beloved Papa to his granddaughters, Olivia and Kate McGarvey. He will also be missed by his favourite four-legged friend, Sandy.
Survived by his mother, Mary Parks; and his brother, Scott Parks (Peggy); along with his nieces and nephews. His death will also be felt by many extended family members and friends.
Predeceased by the love of his life, Kathy; his dear daughter, Jessica; and his grandson, Sterling; as well as his father, Allan; and his brother, Wayne.
Brent spent his working life at Bruce Power, where he built a long and respected career. When he wasn't working, there was a good chance he could be found in the garage, tinkering away on his cars, or working on his house.
He was a dependable man whose love was often expressed through action. He was the person you could call when you needed help, and the one who would try and fix something if it was broken. He showed up for the people he loved in quiet, everyday ways, and over the years, those small gestures became a powerful reflection of his devotion to family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to a come and go Celebration of Life Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 1-4 p.m., at The Bruce in Kincardine.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Kincardine Food Bank would be appreciated by the family. Donations and condolences may be made on-line at www.daveylinklaterfuneralhome.com.
