The Kirkin’ of the Tartan, held July 5 at Knox Presbyterian Church in Kincardine, wasn’t just a service to bless the tartans, it also saw the loose offering of $375 presented to the Kincardine Food Bank.

Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band piper Leslie Ray, an elder at the church, was on hand Thursday morning, to make the presentation to co-ordinators Lorrie Alexander and Nan Grant.

Located at the Anglican Church of the Messiah on Russell Street, Kincardine, the food bank is open Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you would like to make a donation, contact kincardinefoodbank@gmail.com.
