Do you love to sing? Then the Kincardine Community Singers would love to welcome you!
You don't need formal singing experience, and you don't need to know how to read music. All you need are a love of singing and a willingness to share your voice with others.
This is a friendly group of people who gather to sing because they enjoy music, friendship, and the opportunity to perform for their community.
Rehearsals for this year's Christmas concert will be held Wednesdays, from 7-9 p.m., at Knox Presbyterian Church, Kincardine, under the direction of Patt Lowry. There will be two afternoon shows for the community, Dec. 12 and 13.
This season, the choir will be celebrating the magic, warmth, and nostalgia of "Christmas in a Small Town."
"We're looking forward to bringing beautiful Christmas music to life and sharing it with our friends, neighbours, and the Kincardine community," says choir president Maria Riggin. "One of the new selections of music is entitled 'Christmas Cafe' by Penny Rosten and arranged by B.J. Harris. You can preview it on cypresschoral.com."
Whether you're an experienced choir member or someone who simply loves to sing along at home, there's a place for you in this group.
Not sure if a choir is for you?
Everyone is invited to Bring a Friend Night at Knox Presbyterian Church, Wednesday, Sept. 2, from 7-9 p.m.
Come and see what it's all about, meet some of the singers, and join in for a practice.
"There is no obligation to join," says Riggin. "Just come, have some fun, and sing with us. We'd love to meet you and add your voice to ours as we celebrate 'Christmas in a Small Town'."
