Tickets are sold out for our Down East Lobster Feast, Saturday, Sept. 12! We look forward to hosting this event and celebrating with everyone who secured a spot for an unforgettable evening of food, music, and an authentic Down East vibe.
Branch 183 is hosting a fundraiser for the BUILDKD-plus Campaign in support of the new Kincardine District Senior School. We will be hosting the Great Canadian Duelling Pianos at the Legion, Friday, Oct. 9. Doors open at 7 p.m., and showtime is at 8 p.m. This is a great fund-raising event featuring great music, all for a great cause! Tickets are $50 each; now available at the Legion bar. Be sure to get your tickets soon, as this event will likely sell out quickly.
Congratulations to last Friday’s Kin Cares 50/50 Early Bird winner, Andrew, who collected his winnings from Kincardine Legion president Teri Leslie. Time is running out to grab your tickets for the August draw! Sales close Monday, Aug. 31, at 11:59 p.m. for on-line purchases, and the lucky winner will be announced Tuesday, Sept. 1. Get your tickets on-line at www.kincares5050.ca or in person at the Kincardine Legion or the Auxiliary Gift Shop in the Kincardine Hospital.

Marty Furnivall was the double-dipper at the Saturday Meat Draw, which was the first one with our new flooring. Deborah Bailey had a lucky afternoon, winning a meat prize and $162.50 in the 50/50 draw!
Attention golfers! Registration is now open for our 2026 Fun Golf Tournament, Sunday, Sept. 27, at Ainsdale Golf Course. Tee-off is at 2:30 p.m. The $85 fee includes nine holes with a cart, followed by a roast beef dinner back at the branch. Sign up and pay in person at the Legion bar to secure your spot.
September is next week, and that means some Legion activities and events will be starting back up. Trivia Night is Friday, Sept. 11. We will be having the General Membership Meeting and a Family Dinner, Sunday, Sept. 20. The Walkie-Talkies return Friday mornings, beginning Sept. 4. Stay tuned for some information on this, but as a little heads-up, we have a group of people planning to start a Men’s Shed Group, with the start-up meeting set for Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 9:30-11:30 a.m.
