Another Bruce County snowstorm sweeps through Kincardine area
Kincardine area residents had another bout of winter to contend with, as heavy snow and gusty winds combined to cause problems Wednesday night and Thursday.
Surprisingly, schools and activities ran as usual, with no snow day called. Businesses and offices remained open and there were no closed roads. At least, until 7:18 p.m., Thursday, when the South Bruce OPP closed HIghway 21, from Kincardine to Amberley due to poor weather and road conditions.
The roads were icy and the winds were very strong, resulting in several vehicles in the ditch along Highway 21. The snowy weather is expected to clear by Friday, with warmer temperatures on the weekend, but the cold and snow return next week.
