Voter information letters have been mailed to eligible electors for the 2026 municipal and school board election, and the election period runs from Oct. 19-26, in both Kincardine and Huron-Kinloss.
Watch your mail over the coming days and keep your voter information letter in a safe place.
This letter includes:
Voting instructions
A unique Personal Identification Number required to access the voting system
Information about voting assistance
You will need your voter information letter and PIN to vote.
Voting opens Monday, Oct. 19, at 10 a.m. and closes Monday, Oct. 26, at 8 p.m. Electors may vote from anywhere on-line or by telephone at any time during the voting period.
If you need assistance, the voter help centre in Kincardine is located at the municipal administration centre at 1475 Concession 5. In Huron-Kinloss, it is located at the municipal office in Ripley.
The centre can assist with:
Updating voter information
Accessing the voting system
Using Internet or telephone voting
General election questions
Computers will be available for electors who wish to vote on-line.
Eligible voters who have not received their voter information letter by Oct. 9, should contact the clerk's department as soon as possible.

If you are not on the voters' list, you may be added by visiting the municipal office in person. You will be required to complete an application to amend the voters' list (Form EL15) and provide identification showing your name and qualifying address.
