Huron County OPP report impaired drivers

IMPAIRED DRIVER ARRESTED AFTER TRAFFIC STOP

(GODERICH, ON) - The Huron County OPP has charged a Goderich resident with an impaired driving offence, following a traffic stop in the Town of Goderich.

Sunday, Oct. 4, just after 2:15 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Cambria Road in Goderich. The driver was, subsequently, arrested for impaired operation.

The accused provided breath samples before a qualified OPP Intoxilizer Breath Technician at the Huron County OPP detachment in Clinton. Breath samples provided to police resulted in readings over the legal limit.

Caeleb BOWLER, 20, of Goderich has been charged with Impaired Operation - Over-80. The accused was additionally charged with offences under the Highway Traffic Act and Liquor Licence Control Act.

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused's driver's licence was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich on Nov. 16.

IMPAIRED DRIVER NABBED AFTER TRAFFIC STOP

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH TWP, ON) - The Huron County OPP has charged a North Huron resident with impaired driving, following a traffic stop in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township.

Sunday, Oct. 4, just before 1 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Donnybrook Line in the township. The driver was, subsequently, arrested for impaired operation.

The accused provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilizer Breath Technician at the Huron County OPP detachment in Clinton. Breath samples provided to police resulted in readings over the legal limit.

Kelsey ASHBY, 38, of North Huron has been charged with Impaired Operation - Over-80.

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused's driver's licence was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich on Nov. 30.
