Tiverton Fall Fair sees mixed bag of weather on the weekend

The 165th Tiverton Fall Fair started off sunny and chilly, Saturday, but the weather warmed up in the afternoon, while Sunday saw rain in the morning, followed by another sunny, warm afternoon.

Under the theme, "165 and the Fields Come Alive," the fair began with a hearty breakfast served by the Ripley 4-H Beef Club, at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre, Saturday morning. About 300 people enjoyed a feast of scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, toast, juice, and coffee.

Besides the parade, the many activities throughout the day, included the saddle horse show, pie social, kids pedal tractor pull, midway, face-painting, Lawn Tractor Pull, Tiverton Lions Cake Wheel, Kinetic Knights Robotics demonstration, petting zoo, reptile show, archery tag, and live entertainment in the community centre.

Saturday ended with a fall fair dance to “City Ground."

Sunday opened with the community church service, followed by the truck and tractor pull, children’s pet show, and the Amazing Andy Magic Show.
