Ripley Horticultural Society youth club works on posters for provincial competition
Seven young people, with the Ripley Horticultural Society's For Our Youth club, and their leaders, met at the Huron-Kinloss township hall to work on posters for the Ontario Horticultural Association competition.

The poster competition theme, "Around our Home and Native Land,"  fits well with plans for the youth club this year.

Next on the agenda for the club is "Bombs Away," when members will build their own seed bombs. This free event is slated for Wednesday, March 16, at 1:30 p.m., at the Ripley-Huron Community Centre.

The horticultural society members have already collected flower seeds, but you may bring your own.

All young people, ages six to 12, are welcome to become a member of the For Our Youth club. The group meets Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to Noon, on May 21, June 18, July 16, Aug. 20, Sept. 17 and Nov. 19.
