The Lucknow and District Kinsmen Club has donated $50,000 to the BUILDKD-plus Campaign in support of enhancements to learning, athletics, arts, technology, and skilled trades spaces in the new Kincardine District Senior School.
This $50,000 contribution brings the campaign very close to its $1-million fund-raising milestone on the way to its $4.5-million goal. Funds raised will go toward improved technology and skilled trades learning environments, a state-of-the-art track and field complex, modern arts and performance spaces, and flexible learning environments.
“Service clubs, such as the Lucknow Kinsmen, are the backbone of our communities," said KDSS principal Don Burns, chairman of the campaign. "Events, such as Lucknow's Music in the Fields, provide deep support of many across our region. This $50,000 commitment will have a lasting impact on students and families for generations.
“As we approach the $1-million milestone, we are incredibly grateful to the Kinsmen for showing what community leadership looks like.”
The campaign continues to invite individuals, families, businesses, service clubs, and community partners to be part of this once-in-a-generation opportunity to invest in local students and the future of the community.
