Spring weather on the weekend

It was unusual to see children playing in the park in February, but that was the case Sunday afternoon as several youngsters played on the swings and the playground equipment at Lions Park, beside the Davidson Centre in Kincardine.

The sun was shining, and most of the snow had disappeared, leaving wet and muddy conditions. The wind was brisk, but that didn't stop some people from enjoying a picnic in the pavilion.

Meanwhile, Saturday, a strong wind whipped up the waves on Lake Huron, hurling them against the snowbanks along the shoreline.

Colder temperatures and more snow are in the forecast, meaning winter isn't quite done with us yet.
