Brenda Stewart of Kincardine remembered as a kind, caring person whose life centred on family

Brenda Elizabeth Stewart (nee Culbert) of Kincardine died peacefully, Oct. 28, 2026, at the Kincardine Hospital, in her 65th year.

Beloved wife of Allan Bruce Stewart, and mother of Richard Lazette, Michelle (Lucas) Robertson and Adam (Maria) Stewart.

Very adored Grammy of her grandchildren, Emery, Nathan, Carlee, Drew, Claire and Colten. Brenda will be dearly missed by her sister, Andrea (George) MacDonald; and her niece, Julie (Scott) Warden and children, Nathalie, Ben and James; as well as her nephew, Michael MacDonald and son, Sebastian).

She had many nieces and nephews on the Stewart side who will also miss her dearly.

Predeceased by her parents, James Elmer Culbert and Edna Margaret Culbert.

Brenda was first diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and faced a long, hard-fought battle. She handled it with such strength and grace which will forever be admired by all who knew her.

She was a kind, caring person who centred her life around family. She cherished cottage get-aways with her grandchildren, camping trips and holidays spent at home with family. She enjoyed lunch dates with friends and attending craft shows with her sister, Andrea.

Brenda was the definition of strength, love, and understanding. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A private family interment will take place in the Kincardine Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation or The War Amps Foundation. Donations and condolences may be made on-line at www.cameronsofkincardine.com.
