His loss will be felt deeply by his four sons, Daniel (Pam), Dennis (Donna), Derrick (Karen), Michael (Julie).
Greatly missed by his grandchildren, Jeff, Shawn, Andrew, Amy, Danielle, Kelsey, Ashlea, Corey, Tre and Devon; and great-grandchildren, Alecsys, Henry, Oliver, Logan, Illyanna, Selena, Eila, Coen, Isabel, Peter, Aubree and Emaya.
Survived by his sisters, Lea (Bob) Ashton and Sharon (Dave) Chappell; and remembered by many extended family members and friends.
Predeceased by his beloved wife, Barbara Burrows; his parents, Frank and Elfleda Burrows; and grandsons, Dale, and Jason.
Ronald was an energetic, and competitive man. He and Barbara married young and moved to Oakville. He worked several jobs before starting his sign business, and after 10 years in that business, he established the printing department at Athletic Knit in Toronto.
An opportunity to move back to Kincardine came when he was able to buy the Sporting Goods store in Kincardine from his old minor hockey coach, Ken Dolson.
While running the store, he started screen-printing above the store. The business initially specialized in screen-printing transfers for uniforms. As the business continued to grow, he sold the Sporting Goods store to concentrate on screen-printing. This business became Presto-Crest in downtown Kincardine, with customers from coast-to-coast in Canada and in parts of the United States.
Ron kept busy in his personal life. He followed his sons’ hockey careers and never missed a game, if possible. This carried on to all his grandchildren's and even great-grandchildren's sporting events.
He was an avid golfer and a life-long member at Kincardine Golf and Country Club where he loved to compete in the various events. He owned a boat for a period, and particularly enjoyed taking friends and family out on the lake.
Ronald was a talented artist. He did several paintings in his teens but set this aside to raise his family and earn a living. Once retired, he picked up his brush again and started painting. He loved to paint landscape themes and sometimes, detailed paintings of people’s home cottages and the surrounding landscape. He was painting right up to end.
Most importantly, he was always available to help family and friends with any project they had. He instantly became an "expert" and would give everything he had to get the job done.
Ronald leaves a large void in our lives, but he is off to join Barbara.
He will be missed and forever remembered.
Visitation will be held at the Cameron Funeral Home, Kincardine, Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, from 7-9 p.m.
