Grants available for non-profit organizations in Grey and Bruce counties

Community Foundation Grey Bruce invites not-for-profit organizations across Grey and Bruce counties to apply now for the spring round of granting.

The applicant’s project must benefit local communities in one of the following categories: Arts & Culture, Children’s Interests, Education, Poverty Reduction, Environmental Endeavors, Health and Wellness, or Recreation. Projects and programs that prove support to disadvantaged children may apply for up to $5,000; other projects may apply for up to $3,000.

 

The on-line grant application will be open until the deadline of April 30. Organizations may access the application at Community Foundation’s website: www.communityfoundationgreybruce.com

 

“We hope to distribute grants to Grey Bruce charities in the same amount as last spring”, said grants co-ordinator Wendy Bachiu, “Applications granted to not-for-profit projects benefiting local communities totaled $190,000 in May, 2015, and $230,000 in October, 2015.”

 

Applicants should contact the Community Foundation office at 519-371-7203, Monday to Friday, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., to discuss the eligibility of their project before filling out an application.

 

Community Foundation Grey Bruce is a grant-making charity that serves the communities of Grey and Bruce counties.  The foundation generates long-term sustainable resources through pooled donations in permanently-endowed funds.  Earned revenue from the funds is granted to not-for-profit organizations in support of a wide range of initiatives.
