Saugeen Shores woman identified as driver killed in single-vehicle crash Friday
(CARRICK TWP, ON) – A 68-year-old Saugeen Shores woman has been identified as the driver killed in a single-vehicle crash, Friday, in Carrick Township.
The South Bruce OPP, Bruce County Paramedics and the Mildmay Fire Department were called to the scene March 11, at 2:06 p.m., along Bruce County Road 3 near Mildmay. Officers found that a beige Nissan Sentra was travelling southbound on the county road when it left the roadway and struck a house before coming to rest.
The driver, Raissa HAIG, 68, of Saugeen Shores was pronounced dead at the scene. There was no one at the house at the time of the collision.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit and the Office of the Coroner are assisting the South Bruce OPP with this incident.
