Calling all theme, logo and slogan ideas for the 2018 Kincardine Reunion

The co-chairpersons of the 2018 Kincardine Old Boys and Old Girls Reunion are calling on the community to submit ideas for a theme, logo and slogan for the event, slated for Aug. 2-6, 2018.

Dave Patterson and Jennifer Cook are in charge of the reunion and welcome entries for this contest. The winner receives passes to all events on the reunion weekend, as well as bragging rights. Deadline is April 30. Send your submissions to oldboys2018@gmail.com

Patterson says he is looking forward to helping organize the 2018 event.

"After a couple of years of Brad Kirkconnell and Laura Haight trying to convince me I was the person for the job, and dragging my feet on accepting, I suggested I could possibly do it if I was able to find a co-chairperson I could work with," he says. "So, my wife, Bobbi, and I met with Jen and Darren Cook to discuss the possibility of Jen co-chairing with me.

"She agreed quickly. I am excited and very lucky to have such an organized and community-oriented individual to work alongside. We have already secured most of our executive committee and plan to start meeting at the end of March."

Cook is also excited to be involved in organizing this amazing event.

"We have our committee in place now and will be starting to meet later this month," she says. "Plans are for a community meeting in May or June to allow people the opportunity to put their names forth to volunteer for the various committees and sub-committees. We are also hoping to unveil our theme and logo at that meeting."
