DRIVER INJURED IN SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH
(BRANT TWP, ON) – March 17, at 11:17 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a single-vehicle crash along Bruce County Road 2 in Brant Township.
Officers arrived to find that a white Toyota CTX left Bruce Road 2, crossed the ditch and entered a field on the north side of the road. The driver, a 68-year-old Hanover woman, was taken to a local hospital for assessment of minor injuries.
DRIVER AIRLIFTED FOR TREATMENT, FOLLOWING ACCIDENT SOUTH OF PORT ELGIN
(SAUGEEN TWP, ON) – A serious crash south of Port Elgin, Saturday, has resulted in a second victim airlifted to hospital in London.
March 19, at 7:30 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Bruce County Road 40 and Highway 21, just south of Port Elgin in Saugeen Township.
Officers arrived with Bruce Paramedic Services, the Saugeen Shores Fire Department and members of the Saugeen Shores Police Service, to find a blue Chevrolet Cavalier and a white Dodge Caravan involved in the crash.
The driver of the Cavalier was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries, and then airlifted to a London hospital for treatment of serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries.
A passenger in the Caravan was taken to a London hospital by air ambulance, also for treatment of serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit is assisting the South Bruce OPP with this incident.
POLICE SEEKING INFORMATION ON STOLEN ATV
(KINLOSS TWP, ON) – March 19, at 5:36 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a theft at a residence along Whitechurch Street in Kinloss Township.
Sometime between March 10-19, a grey Can-am Outlander All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV), with Licence No. 3BL84, was taken. The value of the stolen ATV is estimated to be $10,000. The serial number is on file with police.
IMPAIRED ATV DRIVER LOSES CONTROL
(GREENOCK TWP, ON) – March 18, at 6:38 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) rollover along Highway 9 in Greenock Township.
Officers arrived with Bruce Paramedic Services and the Walkerton Fire Department to find a red Polaris A99 ATV had rolled before coming to rest in the field. The operator was found to have been drinking alcohol. Thirty-seven-year-old Jeremy SELF of Brockton was charged with impaired driving and care or control over-80 milligrams. He is scheduled to appear in court April 20. He received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital.
