Fire damages motor home on Highway 21, north of Kincardine Home Hardware, Sunday evening

Kincardine Fire and Emergency Services and the South Bruce OPP responded to a reported motor home fire on Highway 21, north of Kincardine Home Hardware, at 6:22 p.m., Sunday, April 3.

Deputy fire chief Mike Moore said an electrical short caused a small fire under the dash that was quickly put out by the driver using an onboard fire extinguisher. Firefighters conducted some overhaul to ensure there were no hot spots.

The vehicle sustained some smoke damage inside, and fire damage to the driver’s dash area. No injuries were reported and the motor home was towed away.
