Congratulations to everyone involved in the Roots of Bruce - what a marvellous venture!
Congratulations as well to Kinetic Knights Robotics, Team 781, of Kincardine, and all the helpers who put on a fine fund-raising spaghetti dinner at the Kincardine Legion Sunday evening.
And to the folks who served up a great meal at the Kinloss Community Centre Sunday evening. It is always fun to visit with neighbours and former neighbours at the meal.
Belated thanks to the folks at Belmore for another great Maple Syrup Festival.
Friday afternoon, Deanna and Morley Scott visited with Jorey, Jeff and Karleigh Dudgeon of Carlsruhe.
Elizabeth and Adrian Groenewegen and family of South Bruce, hosted an open house last week. Their free-stall dairy farm with three Lely milking robots was appreciated by the great crowd that attended. The new facilities are very interesting.
Xavier and Zarian Zuk of Walkerton visited with Grandma and Grandpa Rhody, Sunday.
Kathy and Bruce Aitken of Bracebridge were pleased to attend the family dinner at RVilla with Bruce’s mother, Eletta, and all the other families.
Largaret McInnes has had many from the Grove, visiting her at the Kincardine hospital.
Mary Anne Kukoly visited with Marlene and Gayle Haldenby, Tuesday, and with Ruth McCosh, her daughter, Joanne, and Paul Graf, Wednesday in Goderich.
PURPLE GROVE WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
At the April meeting of the Purple Grove Women's Institute, president Janet Rhody and her granddaughter, Jadzia Alvi, were presented with their Ontario Volunteer Service Awards.
Janet has been involved with the Women’s Institute for 40 years. Jadzia has been a willing helper at the W.I. gatherings and Purple Grove community functions. Making the presentations, was vice-president Deanna Scott.
