Blues charity concert to benefit Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Kincardine

Janice and Brad Chalmers, dedicated volunteers with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Kincardine and District, will be hosting a musical night to be remembered.

Rick Fines and Roly Platt, singers, songwriters and performers of the Blues, folk and dockside soul music, are performing at the Kincardine Arts Centre, Friday, April 22, at 8 p.m.

 

“This concert is near and dear to Rick Fines who has past experiences as a Little Brother and a Big Brother," said Janice Chalmers. "I chose to organize this event, because this agency is vital to our community.”

All proceeds will be donated to Big Brothers and Big Sisters to benefit the children and youth enrolled in the program.

Big Brothers and Big Sisters has been serving the community’s youth since 1984, and continues to thrive in the Kincardine area, currently serving 46 littles, aged six to 16. The program involves skills in independence, friendship, social and group settings.
