The annual collection for the Canadian Cancer Society was conducted in Tiverton and Inverhuron during the month of April and was a great success. Thanks to everyone involved; your generous support is greatly appreciated.

Are you doing your spring housecleaning? Running out of space? Do you have some treasures that needs a new home? Please remember to put aside your treasures to donate to the GARAGE SALE sponsored by the Tiverton Lions Club to be held May 13-14. Donations accepted Wednesday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, May 12, from 6-9 p.m., and Friday, May 13, from 9 a.m. to Noon, at the Tiverton Annex (next to Whitney Crawford Community Centre). Please, NO clothing, NO large appliances, NO upholstered furniture and NO hazardous materials. Articles must be clean and in working order to get the best dollar value! Let's work together to make this fund-raiser the best ever! Spread the word to everyone you know! One man’s junk is another man’s treasure. Who said that?
May 29, the Tiverton Lions’ will be holding a “Walk for Dog Guides,” with registration at 12:30 p.m., at the Tiverton Lions Hall, and the walk starting at 1 p.m. This has been a successful and fun event so come and have a nice walk with friends. For more information, call: 226-222-1731.
Knox Presbyterian Church, Tiverton, and St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Glammis, will be hosting a "Come-and-Go Tea," Saturday, May 14, from 2-4 p.m. at Knox Church to meet with a minister who has accepted the invitation to "Preach for The Call," Sunday, May 15, at 10 a.m. The Sunday service will be followed by a congregational meeting and lunch.
Tiverton Knox Presbyterian Church will be holding lunch barbecues at Noon on the third Monday of the month, beginning Monday, May 16. Donation at the door, with all proceeds to go toward buying new chairs for the church activity room.
