President Janet Rhody opened the meeting and then turned it over to convener Mary Anne Kukoly who was pleased to introduce Amy Farrell, editor of Grey-Bruce Kids, Grey-Bruce Boomers, and the newest magazine, Huron-Perth Boomers.  We enjoyed hearing about the beginnings of the magazines and how they are put together. Upon completion of her presentation, Amy received a token of appreciation from Mary Anne. Amy also answered all questions that the members posed about this very successful endeavour.

We then took time out to enjoy the great pies that were provided by Diane Clifford and Wilma Sutton.

After the minutes of the last meeting and the treasurer’s report, the Roll Call was answered by members paying their dues. The birthday ladies had some fun readings and jokes. Marilyn Reid gave the District Director’s report.

Our branch is responsible for door prizes at the District Annual May 26. Discussions included a request to help at the Heritage Days at Paisley, Aug. 19-20. We will help at the Log Cabin at the Bruce County Museum Aug. 5. The Caregiver Support Training Workshop will be held June 1 at the Ripley-Huron Community Centre. All the members were encouraged to register.

Janet thanked our hostess Wilma Sutton and the other lunch provider, Diane Clifford.
