Former Kincardine book store owner dies at the age of 80

It is with regret and sadness that the family advises you of the death of Jane Elizabeth Miller (née Goodison) at Trillium Court, Kincardine, May 7, 2016, at the age of 80.

She will be missed by her husband, Murray; her sons, William, John and Barry; her daughters-in-law, Cathy and Tracey; and her grandchildren, Ainsley, Thomas, Britten, Lauren, Jared, Jacob, Logan, Cullen and Rowan.

Predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Wendy (wife of John).

Jane was a lovely lady who provided much joy and love to her family, friends and those who knew her. Her book store in Kincardine, Books and RDT (Rainy Day Things), provided good reading for those who do.

There will be no visitation or service. A celebration of Jane’s life will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to express its appreciation to Dr. Lisa Denobriga and the staff at both the Kincardine hospital and Trillium Court; your good work made the journey less painful.

Cremation and interment to be arranged.

Memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine, Ontario N2Z 1Z5; 519-396-2701.

Crossing the Bar

Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark.

- Alfred Lord Tennyson
