SKINNY DIPPER FACING CHARGES
(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County OPP arrested a 28-year-old Waterloo man this week after he drew attention to himself taking a plunge into Lake Huron in the nude.
At about 7:20 p.m., May 9, officers were dispatched to the St. Christopher’s Beach area in Goderich after witnesses reported a man had exited his vehicle, stripped down into the nude and went into the water for a swim. After a short swim, he exited the water and walked around the beach area before returning to his vehicle.
The man then left the area in his vehicle, a Fiat sports car. Minutes later, officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle parked at a restaurant located on Bayfield Road. The man was in the driver’s seat now wearing a shirt and his underwear.
The man was placed under arrest for committing an indecent act and, while speaking with the him, the investigating officer noted the driver had consumed some alcohol. A roadside screening test was completed and the driver registered a fail. He was then also placed under arrest for Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle With Over-80 Milligrams of Alcohol.
He was subsequently transported to the Exeter OPP detachment for breath tests where he provided two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician. Both of his samples registered over the legal limit.
28-year-old Milos AGATONOVIC of Waterloo has been charged with Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle – Over-80 Milligrams of Alcohol, and Commit Indecent Act in Public Place. He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for July 4, at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich. He also received an automatic 90-day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
OPP DRUG WARRANT EXECUTED IN GODERICH
(GODERICH, ON) – Wednesday, May 11, the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit, Huron OPP Property Crimes Unit and Huron OPP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence located on South Street in the Town of Goderich.
As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police seized methamphetamine, marijuana, cocaine and marijuana plants. The estimated combined street value of the seized controlled substances is $2,400. Police also seized offence-related property that consisted of $360 worth of unmarked cigarettes (contraband tobacco).
Police arrested and have charged the following Huron County residents:
Shaun JAMIESON, 33, of Goderich; and Ashley ALBRECHT, 31, of Goderich, have been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Marijuana and Cocaine as well as Production of Marijuana. In addition, they were both charged with Possession of Unmarked Cigarettes and Possession of Unmarked Cigarettes for Sale.
Both have been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for June 20, at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
DRIVER REGISTERS OVER LEGAL LIMIT
(EXETER, ON) – A 57-year-old Goderich man has been charged with Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle – Over-80 Milligrams after he was stopped by police last weekend in Exeter.
At approximately 12:25 a.m., May 8, a Huron County OPP officer observed a Lexus parked on Sanders Street West with the headlights on and the engine running. Police noticed the driver appeared to be sleeping in the driver’s seat so they proceeded to check on the condition of the driver.
Upon getting the driver’s attention and speaking with him, the investigating officer noted the driver had been drinking alcohol. A roadside screening test was completed and the driver registered a fail. He was placed under arrest for Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle With Over-80 Milligrams of Alcohol and was transported to the Exeter OPP detachment for breath tests. He subsequently provided two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both of his samples registered over the legal limit.
As a result, 57-year-old Michael RIVETT of Goderich has been charged with Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle – Over-80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He was released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for June 30, at the Ontario Court of Justice – Exeter. He also received an automatic 90-day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
