Kincardine MS Walk raises more than $15,000

This year's Mandarin Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Walk in Kincardine raised $15,367 for the MS Society, down significantly from the $23,465 raised in 2015.

Held Sunday morning, May 1, beginning at the Davidson Centre, it drew a small crowd, dressed in colourful clothing and sporting this year's MS Walk T-shirt.

Megan Jackson of Port Elgin, was captain of Team Mighty Megan. She was diagnosed with MS six years ago and is passionate about finding a cure for this dreaded auto-immune disease of the central nervous system.

Following the opening ceremony, participants headed out on either a two-kilometre or five-kilometre route.
