Kincardine figure skater Rosie Laidler has been named to Team Canada for the 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Austria, from March 14-25.
She joins 110 athletes from across Canada on the team, competing in six sports.
Austria is expecting 3,000 athletes from 110 nations at the worlds.
Laidler (left, in photo) and her local training coach, Lorilee Nelson, will be attending a four-day training camp in Orangeville later this month and then the hard work begins!
A member of the Kincardine and Ripley-Huron skating clubs, Laidler won gold medals in dance and freeskate at the nationals in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, back in March, making her eligible for Team Canada and the worlds.
