The second annual Clint Parker Memorial Ride was held May 7, starting at the Parker shop on the 9th Concession of Kincardine, east of Highway 21, just south of Tiverton.
The event raised a total of $1,102.50, with $500 of that going toward the annual bursary, presented in the fall to a Kincardine District Secondary School shop student. The remainder of the money will go toward a concussion clinic.
The crowd of trucks was a bit smaller than last year. It rained in the morning, but had cleared by the time the memorial ride headed out at about 3 p.m.
Besides the ride, there event included a 50-50 draw, a barbecue, 519COUNTRY swag to purchase, and the unveiling of a shadow box featuring Clint's hockey jersey, hockey stick and trophy.
The 50-50 draw winner was Josh Armstrong.
The third annual memorial ride is slated for May 6, 2017.
