PICK-UP TRUCK STOLEN OVERNIGHT
(MILDMAY, ON) – May 26, at 12:09 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of the theft of a vehicle at a residence along Elora Street in Mildmay.
Sometime between 10 p.m. May 25, and 6 a.m. May 26, a black Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck with Licence No. 8700TK was taken. The truck has chrome step-bars and a black “tri-fold” tonneau cover. There is no estimate on the value of the stolen truck available at this time.
The South Bruce OPP recommends that vehicle owners/operators consider the Lock-it or Lose-it theft-prevention tips to help prevent the loss of the vehicle or property from inside the vehicle:
Always roll up your vehicle’s windows, lock the door and pocket the key
If you have a garage, use it; lock the door and the vehicle
Always park in a well-lit area
Never leave valuable objects in plain view
Theft is a crime of opportunity that you can help control; Lock-it or Lose-it.
Suspicious vehicles and suspicious people should be reported to police as soon as possible so that an officer can investigate.
POLICE INVESTIGATING THEFT OF METAL ART
(BRANT TWP, ON) – May 24, at 10:13 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a theft of property taken from a bridge along Concession 8 in Brant Township, west of Sideroad 10.
Sometime between 8 p.m. May 20, and 7 a.m. May 24, metal art was removed from the bridge. The value of the stolen property is estimated to be $500.
The South Bruce OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122.
