Many theme songs from the greatest television shows in history, along with some famous commercials, are featured in the Kincardine Community Singers' spring concert, "Showtime!" which runs June 11-12 at 7:30 p.m., at Knox Presbyterian Church, Kincardine.
If Wednesday's dress rehearsal is any indication, the audience is in for a treat, with so many familiar and beloved pieces included in this show.
The two grumpy old men from "The Muppet Show," Statler and Waldorf, open the concert with their usual remarks, before the choir starts into the show's well-known theme song.
From there, it's one great song after another: the theme from "Bonanza," "Three's Company," "Friends," "Green Acres," "The Pink Panther," "The Mickey Mouse Club," "Sesame Street," "Nine to Five," "Two and a Half Men," and more.
Plus commercials for Coca-Cola, KIt Kat, Smarties, Oscar Meyer Wieners, Lifesavers, etc.
You'll be so glad you had this time together, so get your ticket and go enjoy "Showtime!"
The choir is directed by Patt Lowry, with accompaniment by Brenda Manderson, assisted by Kathryn Low, and joined by musicians Steve Deer on guitar, Mike Smith on drums, Karen Weber on bass, and Brian Tovey on harmonica. MC for the show is Ryan Berry.
