Kincardine hospital auxiliary holding new, unique fund-raiser

The South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine hospital auxiliary is holding a new and unique fund-raising event.

It has partnered with a Fundraising – Art/Easel Program which is helping more than 100 hospitals across Canada. The program works like a sealed-bid auction with the prints being changed every two weeks.

The prints are displayed on an easel with the Kincardine hospital logo on them, and the professionally-framed prints may vary from landscapes to sports.

Anyone can put a bid in on the pictures, and the winners are contacted by the program director. The auxiliary then receives a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the print.

The first print is a limited-edition A.J. Casson painting, entitled “Country Store" (R); Casson was a member of The Group Of Seven.

The easel and print are located at the front entrance to the hospital, so take a few minutes to check it out.
