Downed wire causes closure of part of downtown Kincardine Wednesday afternoon
A downed wire created havoc for motorists in downtown Kincardine, Wednesday afternoon.
South Bruce OPP and the Kincardine public works department were on the scene at about 1:30 p.m., where Queen Street was closed between Durham Street and Quinn Plaza.
Information at the scene indicated that a truck took down the wire which ended up hanging from some trees on the east side of the roadway and lying across the street.
The South Bruce OPP reported Thursday that a transport truck knocked a utility wire down - it was a cable line, not a power line.
