COPA Flight 172 raises $404 for Fort McMurray at airport open house barbecue

The Kincardine Airport and hangar owners held an open house for the public, May 22.

During this event, the local Canadian Owners and Pilots Association (COPA) Flight 172 held a barbecue of hamburgers and hot dogs to raise money for the Fort McMurray fire relief fund.

The weather was great and approximately 150 people from the community had their photos taken with the planes, asked the pilots questions about flying, and toured the airport facilities.

COPA Flight 172 gave out hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and a drink for a donation, raising $404 which was sent to the Canadian Red Cross for Fort McMurray.

Flight 172 thanks everyone who came out to the airport that day and gave a donation - what a great, supportive community we have! Fort McMurray appreciates the donation.
