A funeral will be held Saturday, Aug. 13, at Noon for Laura Margaret (Wilkin) MacDonald of Bruce Beach and Kincardine, who died peacefully at Trillium Court, Kincardine, Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at the age of 98.
She was predeceased by her husband, the Rev. Dr. R. Douglas MacDonald.
Dear mother of Mary Ellen (Mike), Rory (Eva Jean), Greta (Stevan) and Angus (Carol), and their families, including 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Born in Paris, Ontario, Sept. 24, 1917, Laura graduated from the University of Toronto in 1939. She married Doug in June, 1940, and they served together in Presbyterian Churches in St. Thomas and Tempo, also in Tillsonburg and Windham Center, and lastly, in Port Elgin and Burgoyne, before their retirement to Bruce Beach in 1980.
She also taught French and Latin for 10 years at Annandale High School while living in Tillsonburg.
Besides her husband, she is predeceased by her sister, Helen W. Cannon; her brother, John G. Wilkin; and her granddaughter, Kerensa Leigh Allason.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Capital Fund of the MacDonald Memorial Lecture, c/o Knox College, 59 St. George St., Toronto, Ontario, M5S 3H8; or Camp Kintail, c/o MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Box 248, Ripley, Ontario, N0G 2RO; or a charity of your choice, would be appreciated by the family.

The funeral will be held Saturday, Aug. 13, at Noon, at Knox Presbyterian Church, Ripley, with visitation one hour prior.
Interment South Kinloss Cemetery, Lucknow.
