The Ripley-Huron Fall Fair ambassador committee is searching for contestants for the annual ambassador competition which will take place Friday, Sept. 23, at the fair.
The contestants must be single males or females, between the age of 17 and 23 by Aug. 1, 2016; and must reside in the former Township of Huron or have attended Ripley-Huron Community School.
The evening of the competition consists of dinner with all the contestants, judges and ambassador committee members, and each contestant will have a 10-minute interview with the judges after dinner.
During the on-stage portion of the evening, contestants will introduce themselves and their sponsors, answer and impromptu questions and present their two-minute speeches on topics of their choice. (Examples include the fair, 4-H, agriculture, community involvement, etc.). All contestants will receive wonderful prizes donated by local businesses and organizations.
There are many opportunities that come with being the Ripley-Huron Fall Fair ambassador, but none is mandatory. This is a chance to make new friendships that will last a lifetime.
