A brilliant sunset, winners, and cheque presentations galore

There have been a number of beautiful sunsets, winners and cheque presentations over the past few weeks - all gloriously captured in this story.

The Victoria Park Gallery in downtown Kincardine received a $500 donation from Bruce Power which will be used for office equipment.

The Society of Energy Professionals has made a donation to Community Living of Kincardine and District for its All Abilities Beachside Run, Sept. 4, at Station Beach; the Society also donated $10,000 to the Kincardine Trails Association in support of the Kincardine to Inverhuron Provincial Park trail.

The Kincardine Women's Triathlon executive presented a donation of $5,000 to Community Living of Kincardine and District, proceeds from this year's event, held in July.

Diane Wylds-Molnar of Kincardine amassed plenty of items during her $5,000 shopping spree at Canadian Tire in Kincardine, as the winner of the Fish Kincardine Derby, organized by the Kincardine and District Chamber of Commerce. She won the derby with a 19.96-pound trout. “I still can’t believe this is happening," she said. "It is all still very surreal.” Items she purchased included: topsoil, a garage cabinet and organizer, birdfeeder with seed, flares, dishware, car battery and more.
 

The Kincardine Ladies Walking Group appreciates all the volunteers involved in the making and maintaining of the Kincardine Trails. The group welcomes any ladies who wish to go walking. It meets outside the Kincardine post office, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9 a.m., and walks for one hour, on and off the trails.

And Josiah Brown won the iPod-mini, in a competition organized by the Kincardine Air Cadets sponsorship committee.
