Janet and Wayne Rhody and Gerald Rhody attended the Rhody reunion at the park in Mildmay recently. Oliver Larion of Brampton is visiting with his grandparents, Janet and Wayne.
Our sympathy is sent to the family of Margaret Fuller. Her cheery presence will be missed at RVilla and in the community.
Jim and Fran Farrell visited with Bruce and Kathy Aitken in Bracebridge, and Susan and Peter Roberts in Temagami, last week. They also attended a 25th Wedding Anniversary celebration for Rob and Carolyn Farrell, Saturday evening at their home in Rockwood.
The McInneses hosted the final meeting of the Ripley 4-H Sheep Club. Three shearers, John Farrell, Steve Hallam and Cody Ribbink, prepared the lambs for show season. Following that, the older members coached the younger members on show-ring procedure. After a snack, the meeting was adjourned.
Nancy Greenwood visited with her mother, June Elliott, recently.
Congratulations to Tom Evans, from his Purple Grove friends! Tom has won the Canadian Plowing Championship and can compete at the World Plowing Match in Kenya next December.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all the folks who aren’t feeling too perky these days. How blessed we are to live in a country where we have such good medical facilities and knowledgeable doctors and nurses.
Sounds like everyone who went to Lucknow's Music in the Fields had a good time! Congratulations to the many volunteers who make this event run so smoothly.
The Grey-Bruce Holstein Show was held Tuesday evening in Walkerton. Congratulations to all the 4-H members and exhibitors who bring out so many beautiful animals for this exhibition each year, and thanks to the volunteers and sponsors of the various classes.
Mary Anne Kukoly enjoyed a good visit with her cousins, Betty and Ken Morrison, in Huntsville last weekend. While there, she also visited with Marilyn and Jeff Colwell who dropped in on their way back to Ottawa. On Mary Anne’s way home, she visited with Dianne and Wayne Orr at Holstein. Congratulations to the Orrs on their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Dianne was provincial president of the Women's Institute a few years ago.
Ladies, remember the Women's Institute meeting Wednesday evening. We are looking forward to hearing Nikki Reid’s information on landscaping.
